personal projects

Tragedy
This was an exercise in filmmaking improv. It began as an idea to make something tragic, however, I couldn't help but add a twist at the end to leave us all with a much happier feeling.
Sanja Zdjelar's "The Immigrant"
It was an absolute pleasure working with Sanja and the crew on this very sweet, personal film. It was my first leading role in a feature film and I'm forever grateful to Sanja for the opportunity.
Rosy Kim's "Scent and Her"
What this film may have lacked in budget was completely made up for with heart, soul and talent. I had such a great time working with Rosy and her team. Funny story on this one: Rosy wasn't supposed to be acting in this, however, the lead decided to flake out on the first day of shooting so Rosy stepped in to play the part!
Eric Adrian Marshall's "Blood Meridian"
Shooting this scene for USC MFA grad Eric Marshall was a very special moment for me in my early days of acting on camera. Before shooting, he led us all in a group meditation that really set the vibe for the shoot. It's easy to act well when you're working with a focused director and very talented, receptive co-stars.
Jonas Akerlund's Lexus ad
Noone had lines and I didn't get much screen time, but it was an incredible feeling to be chosen by the legendary director Jonas Akerlund (https://www.jonasakerlund.com).

I was Taft-Hartleyed for this role which opened the door for me to join SAG-AFTRA within just 6 months of moving to Los Angeles from my tiny hometown in Kentucky. Everyone I met told me it would take years to be able to join the union...as usual, everyone was wrong.
